RESPONSIBILITIES

Our client's headquarters for the APAC region is in Singapore and it is the exclusive agent for the international commercialization of audio-visual rights for one of the most popular professional sports leagues globally.  It also markets a number of other sports properties (including international golf, tennis and football) and offers it clients tailor-made sponsorship solutions and virtual advertising opportunities.

Our client is looking for an experienced sponsorship and marketing professional to take charge of the commercial sales and operations of the company focusing on the acquisition and sales of our client's sponsorship portfolio, creation of client marketing and PR campaigns, account management and client servicing.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for selling partnerships and building a solid network of relationships with local and international brands across the Asia-Pacific region including China. Main duties:

  • Pursue and secure new sponsorship sales targets.
  • Sponsorship sales for European/ Asian properties across Asia including sales to Asian and Chinese brands.
  • Distribution of existing rights portfolio throughout Asia Pacific.
  • Acquisition and sales of prospective (new) marketing and sponsorship rights for distribution throughout Asia Pacific.
  • Manage and coordinate with advertising and sponsorship sales agencies throughout Asia.
  • Develop effective sales strategies and plans to approach, engage and close new sponsorships, and work on renewals.
  • Market research and analysis of sport sponsorship properties throughout Asia Pacific; identify market trends and business needs to contribute to the development of sales strategies.
  • Communicate, liaise and coordinate with Executive Team and colleagues (both in Europe, MENA and Asia) on a regular basis.
  • Lead and motivate sales team; provide weekly and regular updates at team sales meetings showcasing activity and pipeline development; report directly into Managing Director APAC.
  • Preparation of sales presentations, together with the relevant departments.
  • Generate new sales leads.
  • Follow up on sales leads and develop the current client base regularly.
  • Work closely with client servicing team on execution of projects and sales closed.
  • Work with account management teams to ensure first-class client servicing.

 

 Requirements:

  • Attention to detail, service mindedness and being a team player.
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive and self-motivation.
  • Intrinsic Sports knowledge is a must (Football, Golf, Tennis).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and ideally Mandarin (native speakers strongly preferred).
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong presentation skills.
  • Minimum ten years of sports-related sponsorships sales experience - demonstrated track record of winning/establishing strategic. relationships with clients in the Chinese market.
  • Strong network of decision makers at top Chinese, SEA and global consumer brands.
  • Good understanding of the basics of marketing.
  • Willing to go on business trips for extended period of time.
  • High execution skills.
