Job Description Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) is one of the fastest growing companies who has vision to solve social issues regarding energy, environment, resource, etc with producing lithium-ion battery products. Exide Energy Solutions Ltd is setting up India’s first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium Ion Cells in Bengaluru. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for EHS (Safety) in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company’s goal at the Devanahalli, Bangalore Location.

Job Overview The position of AM/DM – Safety, Standards & Procedure will be responsible for

Development of Standards & Procedures specific to Safety, such as LOTO, Electrical Safety, MachineSafety, Battery / Cell Safety, Robot Safety, MOC, Machine Buy off etc…Machine Buy-off; Management of Change – EHSMachine Safety ExpertDigitization of EHS initiativesImplementation of Standards in coordination with Line management.Responsible for Trainings Line managementIncident Investigation In coordination with Line management.

Main Responsibilities Support Site EHS manager for EHS topics

Cooperate with the internal resources to achieve EHS objectives.Support the Site EHS Manager to perform EHS Risk Assessment and to defineappropriate measures to control risks.Support the EHS Site Manager to prepare, implement and maintain emergency plans.Assist Site EHS Manager to coordinate and control activities with respect of EHS,especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operation areas.Provide support and advice to site personnel to prevent injury, damage to plant andequipment, fire, environmental pollution.Recognize the best practices and the good performance.Advise other Site personnel on all aspects of EHS applicable to site activities.

Develop Site EHS Management System

Support the Site EHS Manager to develop, deploy and maintain the local proceduresand tools and make sure they are aligned with EESL Standards and internationalstandards (ISO 14001 and ISO45001).Support the Site EHS Manager to ensure that EESL EHS standards at Site level.

EHS Compliance

Assist the Site EHS Manager to ensure compliance of the site activities according tothe EHS Plan, guidelines and work instructions.Perform EHS legal compliance checks for specific requirements.

Develop EHS culture in the site

Inform, instruct and train employees to carry out the work in safe & environment friendlymode according to the method of statement.Participate in the implementation of the site EHS training programs by providing EHSinductions and ensuring Tool Box meetings are organized.

Report, Measure and Review

Support the EHS Site Manager to capture, report, record, investigate and analyzeaccidents/incidents in order to implement corrective and preventive actions.Support the preparation of monthly EHS reports. Can be in charge of feeding EHSreporting system in line with reporting requirements and under control by Site EHSmanager.Carry out inspections of work areas and carry out EHS audits and report anydiscrepancy.

Desired Profile Professional experience 04 to 08 years in EHS (Safety)Highly recommended experience for manufacturing sites specific to EV, & Cell Manufacturing.Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical)Approved / Qualification recognized by the Govt of India / State Govt (Karnataka) in Industrial for Safety Officer
