Role Description The Video Editor – News & Current Affairs (YouTube) will be responsible for editing daily news segments, current affairs explainers, and special reports for KRAM TV’s YouTube channel. This full-time, on-site role is based in Noida and involves close collaboration with reporters, producers, and graphics teams to turn raw footage into engaging, accurate, and timely video content. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and reviewing field footage, assembling compelling narratives, adding graphics and motion elements, performing basic color correction, and ensuring sound quality and pacing align with digital news standards.

The Video

Editor will adapt content for YouTube formats, optimize videos for viewer engagement, and maintain consistency with KRAM TV’s editorial and visual guidelines. The role also includes meeting tight deadlines, responding quickly to breaking news, and supporting the production of special long-form and investigative videos.

About This Role

We are seeking a sharp, fast-paced, and creative Video Editor to join our YouTube news channel team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage, field reports, and archival clip selections into engaging, well-paced news stories, short documentaries, and explainer videos. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for visual storytelling, strong news sense, and a deep understanding of what drives audience retention on YouTube.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 2–4 years of video editing experience, preferably in digital journalism, news channels, or high-volume YouTube news production.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and audio tools (e.g., Adobe Audition).
  • News Acumen: Strong awareness of current affairs, regional/national news, and trending topics.
  • Audio & Video Tech Knowledge: Familiarity with handling varied camera formats, multi-mic setup recordings, and colour grading.
  • Speed & Precision: Ability to deliver high-quality edits quickly under tight breaking-news deadlines without compromising detail.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio or showreel showcasing news edits, explainers, or documentary-style YouTube content is mandatory.
  • Must have your own setup/laptop.
