Department Executive Office Supervisor Crown Hotel and Travel Management Vice President of Operations/CEO and Director of Operations Primary Objective The Task Force General Manager will serve as an acting General Manager/MOD/Shift worker (if needed) of hotels in transition and provide corporate support to the hotel staff and in some cases work alongside the General Managers. Trains and/or works in other positions to assist assigned properties with employee training or shortages in positions. Including but not limited to front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Assist current General Manager or serve as acting General Manager of hotels in transition and provide corporate support for projects as directed. 2. Must be able to fill in for General Managers within an assigned area where there is a vacancy. 3. Responsible for the team leadership and results of hotels as assigned. 4. Assumes full responsibilities as the acting GM, managing all revenues, cost controls, team development, staffing, conflict resolution, and all facets of the daily operations while supporting company’s goals. 5. Trains and/or works in other positions to assist assigned properties with employee training or shortages in positions. Including but not limited to front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance. 6. Position requires accountability and effective communication. Works within established guidelines and keeps corporate supervision informed continually of operations progress. 7. Ensures that corporate reporting deadlines are met and that financial results, high guest satisfaction, and positive team spirit are a priority. 8. Leads by example with integrity. 9. Enforces the requirements of Company Performance Standards. 10. Other duties as assigned. Job Skills 1. Computer skills to include word processing, excel, and familiarity with brand specific property Management System(s). 2. Ability to exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills. 3. Ability to use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel. 4. Ability to successfully interact with all levels of customers, associates, and hotel management. Job Requirements Must be able to favorably represent Hotel to guests and the community. Have operational knowledge of all phases of the hotel; special knowledge of budget and accounting; sales procedures, proper hiring and training, and motivation of personnel. Physical Requirements 1. The position requires that the employee regularly stand; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift items from up to 40 pounds. 2. Position requires off-duty availability which may interrupt personal time 3. Must be able to travel to and from assignments. Travel This position is based in North Carolina and will require travel approximately 90% of the time. Preferred Experience Experience working with various brands. Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham properties is preferred.
