Junior Python Backend Developer The Night Marketer | Full-time | In-office, Delhi

Salary: ₹22,000–₹25,000 per month

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Python Backend Developer to join our in-house team. You will build APIs, backend services, automation tools, and document-processing workflows. This role suits someone who has built practical Python projects, worked with FastAPI and Django, and uses AI tools thoughtfully to support development.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain Python backend applications and REST APIs using FastAPI and Django.
  • Build OCR workflows to extract, clean, and validate text and data from PDFs, scanned documents, and images.
  • Connect applications to SQL databases, third-party APIs, and AI services.
  • Write readable code with input validation, error handling, logging, and practical tests.
  • Use Git for branches, commits, pull requests, and code review.
  • Debug issues and improve existing backend features and automation workflows.
  • Use Claude, ChatGPT, OpenAI Codex, or similar tools for coding, debugging, and research, while reviewing and testing their output.
  • Work closely with the team, document your work, and communicate progress clearly.
What we are looking for
  • At least 6 months of hands-on Python development experience; around 1 year preferred. Relevant internship experience counts.
  • Good Python fundamentals and the ability to explain code you have written.
  • Practical knowledge of both FastAPI and Django, with experience building APIs in at least one.
  • Experience with OCR or document-processing tools such as Tesseract, EasyOCR, PaddleOCR, or a cloud OCR service.
  • Working knowledge of Git, REST APIs, JSON, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Comfort using AI coding assistants while independently checking correctness.
  • Ability to work full-time from our Delhi office.
Good to have
  • Experience integrating OpenAI or Claude APIs into an application.
  • Familiarity with PDF processing, image preprocessing, or structured data extraction.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux, Docker, deployment, or background tasks.
