As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, performance, security, and reliability of our database systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of database software and related products.

  • Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and reliability.

  • Support database backup, recovery, and data archiving operations.

  • Maintain database security by controlling access permissions and privileges.

  • Collaborate with developers and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve database issues.

  • Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as indexing, patching, and health checks.

  • Assist in database capacity planning and forecasting.

  • Document database procedures, configurations, and changes for team reference.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards related to data management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of relational database concepts (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).

  • Familiarity with SQL query writing, optimization, and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and security best practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Willingness to learn new database technologies and tools.

  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) is a plus.

Experience

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

  • Flexibility to work extended hours or on-call support may be required occasionally to handle critical database issues.
