· Hands-on experience with Workload Automation Engineer (IBM TWS / IWS).We are seeking an experienced L3 Workload Automation Engineer with strong expertise in IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) to manage, support, and enhance enterprise job scheduling environments. The ideal candidate will handle complex scheduling workflows, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and automation initiatives. POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS : Key Responsibilities L3 Production Support
- Provide L3 support for IBM TWS / IWS environments (on-prem and/or cloud) Handle critical incidents, problem management, and RCA Ensure high availability and stability of scheduling systems Lead and participate in on-call support and escalation handling
- Design, create, and maintain job streams, calendars, and dependencies Manage complex scheduling scenarios across multiple platforms (Unix/Linux, Windows, SAP, DB) Implement event-based triggers and automation workflows
- Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades of TWS/IWS components Manage Master Domain Manager (MDM), Backup MDM, Agents (FTA/Dynamic/Pool) Monitor workloads using Dynamic Workload Console (DWC)
- Analyze scheduling performance bottlenecks and optimize job execution Maintain system health through capacity planning and tuning
- Integrate TWS/IWS with:
- SAP, Informatica, Oracle, DB2, etc.
- Develop scripts (Shell, Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks Support API-based or event-driven automation
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, knowledge base articles Ensure compliance with ITIL processes Support audits and governance controls
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) Job scheduling concepts (dependencies, calendars, event rules)
- Expertise in:
- MDM, Backup MDM, FTAs, Dynamic Agents DWC (Dynamic Workload Console)
- Unix/Linux (must-have) Windows Server (nice to have)
- Shell scripting (mandatory) Python / PowerShell (preferred)
- Experience with enterprise tools:
- SAP scheduling integration Database jobs (Oracle/DB2/SQL) File transfer workflows
- Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable
- code Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards Support test and deployment of new products and
- features Participate in code reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
