Virtual Logistics Data Analyst Location: Remote Annual Salary: USD 64,230 Position Overview: We seek a detail-oriented and analytical Virtual Logistics Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be critical in optimizing our supply chain and logistics operations by leveraging data to provide actionable insights and drive strategic decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze logistics data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, clean, and analyze logistics data from various sources, including transportation management systems, warehouse management systems, and ERP systems. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations, including transportation costs, inventory levels, and delivery performance. Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for process improvements. Supply Chain Optimization: Evaluate and assess the performance of logistics and supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction. Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to develop strategies for optimizing transportation routes, inventory management, and warehouse operations. Monitor and analyze supplier performance, transportation provider performance, and overall supply chain efficiency to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Data Visualization and Presentation: Create visualizations and presentations to communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management and operational teams. Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing analysis results, key findings, and suggested actions for enhancing logistics operations. Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices. Collaborate with team members to develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for logistics and supply chain activities. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including procurement, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment of logistics strategies with overall business objectives. Facilitate communication and coordination between logistics teams and external partners, suppliers, and carriers. Data Integrity and Security: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by implementing data validation processes and conducting regular audits. Adhere to data security protocols to protect sensitive information and comply with relevant regulations. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics analysis, data analysis, or a related role. Experience with remote work and virtual collaboration tools is preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with logistics and supply chain management systems and software. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data findings clearly and effectively to various stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a virtual team environment. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop practical solutions to optimize logistics and supply chain processes.
