Eastern Time: 8:30 AM 6:30 PM EST / EDT, Monday to Friday India Time: During EST: 7:00 PM 5:00 AM IST During EDT: 6:00 PM 4:00 AM IST Two Saturdays per month may be working Saturdays, as needed, to support month-end close, payroll, reconciliations, client deliverables, reporting deadlines, and other time-sensitive finance requirements.

About the Role We are looking for a Finance Shared Services Lead with strong U.S. accounting knowledge, CA-level accounting judgment, and advanced hands-on QuickBooks proficiency. This is a functional and hands-on role, not a basic bookkeeping position. The selected candidate will actively support U.S. finance operations, work with clients and internal teams, manage reconciliations, support billing and collections, support payroll, prepare financial reports, and use QuickBooks as an analytics and reporting tool.

The role requires strong ownership, accuracy, client-facing communication, and the ability to convert accounting data into clear financial insights for management.

Key Responsibilities 1. QuickBooks Accounting &

  • Analytics Use QuickBooks for accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Review transactions for proper classification, coding, documentation, and consistency. Generate and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, General Ledger, AR Aging, AP Aging, vendor, customer, project/job, and cash-flow-related reports. Identify unusual transactions, incorrect coding, duplicate entries, missing documentation, aging issues, reconciliation gaps, and margin concerns.

Prepare

QuickBooks-based management summaries, variance reports, account schedules, and financial insights. Support improvements in chart of accounts, customer/vendor setup, class/location/project tracking, and reporting discipline. 2.

Reconciliations

Perform and review bank, credit card, AR, AP, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Reconcile

QuickBooks records with bank statements, credit card statements, payroll reports, billing records, payment receipts, and supporting schedules. Investigate unreconciled items, timing differences, incorrect entries, duplicate entries, and unusual transactions. Maintain clean reconciliation files with proper backup and audit trail.
  • Client-Facing Finance Support Coordinate with U.S.-based clients and internal teams on billing, payment status, reconciliations, documentation, and accounting queries. Support client billing cycles, AR follow-ups, account statements, and reconciliation discussions. Ensure client-facing financial data is accurate, complete, and supported by proper documentation. Resolve missing, disputed, or incomplete billing/accounting information with the relevant teams. 4.

Accounts

Receivable, Billing &
  • Collections Review invoices based on approved rates, contracts, timesheets, work orders, and client requirements. Ensure invoices have proper backup before submission. Track invoice submissions, payments, short payments, credits, adjustments, and disputed items. Maintain AR aging and follow-up trackers. Escalate overdue accounts and unresolved billing matters with clear facts and supporting documentation. 5.

Accounts

Payable &

• Vendor Accounting Manage vendor bills, expense entries, approvals, and supporting documentation. Maintain vendor ledgers and ensure payables are properly recorded in QuickBooks. Support payment planning, vendor reconciliations, and AP aging review. Resolve vendor billing discrepancies with internal teams. 6.

Payroll Accounting Support

Support bi-weekly U.S. payroll accounting and reconciliation activities. Validate payroll inputs such as hours, overtime, PTO, unpaid leave, adjustments, bonuses, and reimbursements. Cross-check payroll data against timesheets, approvals, project logs, payroll reports, and accounting entries. Maintain payroll logs, payroll entries, schedules, and audit documentation.

Major Plus: Experience with Paychex Payroll or similar U.S. payroll systems. 7.

Financial

Reporting, MIS &
  • Business Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and summaries. Support financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and projections. Analyze trends, variances, cash flow, AR/AP movement, expense patterns, and business performance. Prepare dashboards, KPI summaries, and management reporting packs using QuickBooks, Excel, Google Sheets, and other reporting tools. Work with executives and business heads to track profit/loss by business unit, project, client, or function.
  • Month-End/ Quarter End, Year End Closeouts, Audit &
  • Controls Support month-end / quarter-end/ year end close by preparing schedules, reconciliations, reports, and journal entries. Review AP, AR, payroll, bank, credit card, accrual, prepaid, revenue, and expense records before close. Coordinate with CPA, U.S. accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and internal finance teams. Prepare audit-ready documentation for quarterly, annual, statutory, tax, and client-related audits. Identify control gaps, reporting weaknesses, reconciliation issues, and process risks.

Key Accountabilities Accurate QuickBooks accounting, reporting, and analytics. Clean and timely reconciliations. Accurate AR, AP, payroll, bank, credit card, and balance sheet schedules. Timely client billing support and AR follow-up. Clear financial reports, variance summaries, and management insights. Audit-ready records and documentation. Strong coordination with U.S. clients, internal teams, and leadership. Proper escalation of discrepancies, risks, and unresolved finance issues.

Qualifications &

Experience CA, CA Inter, CPA, ACCA, CMA, MBA Finance, M.Com, B.Com, or equivalent accounting/finance qualification. Strong preference for CA-qualified, CA Inter, CPA, or CA-level candidates. 6+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, AR, AP, payroll accounting, and finance operations. Advanced hands-on proficiency in QuickBooks is required.

Must be able to use QuickBooks for reporting, reconciliations, financial analysis, variance review, trend analysis, management reporting, and audit support. Prior experience with U.S. accounting, U.S. payroll, invoicing, audit, or client finance operations preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, internal controls, and audit documentation.

Experience with timesheet-based invoicing, project-based accounting, construction services, engineering services, or professional services billing is a strong plus.

Advanced

Excel / Google Sheets skills required.

Experience with Power BI, dashboards, reporting automation, ERP platforms, or accounting analytics tools preferred.

Strong

English communication skills and ability to coordinate with U.S.-based clients and teams. Ability to work full U.S.
