- You'll turn large, complex vehicle and battery datasets into models and insights that directly influence product and business decisions.

- You'll own problems end-to-end from framing and modeling through to production deployment while partnering closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

- This role suits someone who enjoys both the depth of applied ML and the discipline of shipping reliable, production-grade solutions.

Responsibilities :

Data Science & Modeling :

- Analyze large-scale structured and time-series datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.

- Build, evaluate, and deploy ML models spanning regression, classification, time series, and ensemble methods.

- Apply statistical, Bayesian, and causal inference techniques for experimentation, A/B testing, and attribution.

- Design predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions tied to clear business objectives.

- Explore deep learning, NLP, or generative AI / LLM approaches where they offer a clear advantage over simpler methods.

MLOps, Deployment & Infrastructure :

- Deploy models as scalable APIs for real-time and batch inference, and package workloads using Docker and Kubernetes or managed cloud services.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate model build, testing, and deployment.

- Monitor model performance, data drift, and production reliability, and act on degradation.

- Ensure reproducibility, version control, and governance across models and data pipelines.

- Work within AWS (S3, Athena, Glue, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB) to build and optimize cost-effective, scalable ML solutions.

Data Engineering & Pipelines :

- Build and maintain data pipelines using PySpark, dbt, and Delta Lake in collaboration with data engineering.

- Perform data validation and quality checks across multiple upstream sources.

- Ensure pipeline reliability and performance to support downstream modeling work.

Collaboration, Communication & Mentorship :

- Partner with product managers, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate problems into data science solutions.

- Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and team best practices.

- Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical guidance across projects.

- Stay current with emerging trends in data science, ML, and AI, and bring relevant ideas back to the team.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

- Equivalent practical experience will be considered in place of formal education.

Experience :

- 8 - 15+ years of experience in data science or applied ML roles, with at least 2 years taking models from prototype to production.

- Experience working in Agile or cross-functional product teams.

- Track record of owning ML projects end-to-end, from problem framing to deployed impact.

Must-Have Technical Skills :

- Experience in batteries analytics.

- Understanding of PHM, RUL, RTE, DTC.

- Strong expertise in machine learning, statistics, Bayesian methods, and causal inference.

- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.

- Hands-on experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and statsmodels.

- Experience with MLflow, Git, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

- Strong experience with AWS cloud services (S3, Athena, Glue, DynamoDB).

- Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark.

- Data visualization and reporting using Tableau or Power BI.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with NLP, computer vision, or transformer-based models.

- Understanding of vehicle data and CANBUS or willingness to learn.

- Exposure to LLM integration, generative AI, and prompt engineering.

- Experience with additional cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.

- Familiarity with API design and microservices architecture.

- Experience with large-scale distributed systems and Hadoop.

- Experience writing and maintaining automated test cases.

- Strong technical documentation skills and experience owning end-to-end project planning scope, timelines, and dependencies for data science initiatives.

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.

- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional environments.

- Strong documentation and organizational habits.

- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.

What We Offer :

- The opportunity to build production ML systems with direct, visible impact on EV battery and fleet performance.

- A collaborative, technically strong team working on real-world data science problems.

- Ownership and autonomy over your projects, from idea to production.

- Room to grow into technical leadership as the team and data science practice scales.

Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

4. WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORKSPACE TO SUCCEED IN YOUR WORK?

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?
