About the Job
We are looking for a skilled Thermal/Cycle Design & Performance Engineer to drive the development of advanced refrigeration systems with a strong focus on cooling performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization. The role involves end-to-end refrigeration cycle design, simulation, testing, validation, and performance enhancement for next-generation refrigerator products.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative refrigeration cycle architectures using UG NX, ensuring optimal performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead end-to-end refrigeration cycle design, prototyping, validation, and production implementation for new refrigerator products.
  • Perform thermodynamic analysis and benchmarking to improve cooling capacity, energy efficiency, and overall system performance.
  • Optimize key refrigeration components including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and variable-speed drive systems.
  • Plan and execute prototype testing, analyze laboratory and environmental test results, and implement performance improvements.
  • Manage design data, engineering changes, and version control using Teamcenter/PLM systems.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, and Quality) to ensure successful product development.
  • Correlate simulation results (CFD/CAE) with physical test data to identify system inefficiencies and drive root-cause-based improvements.
  • Support new technology development initiatives focused on energy efficiency, sustainability, and next-generation refrigeration solutions.
  • Participate in technical reviews, management reviews, and project milestone discussions.

Requirements

  • 2 ~ 4 years of experience in Refrigeration, HVAC, Thermal Systems, or Home Appliance Product Development.
  • M.Tech in Thermal/Fluid Engineering (preferably from IITs/NITs or reputed institutes).
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and refrigeration cycle systems.
  • Hands-on experience in refrigeration cycle design, performance analysis, and thermal optimization.
  • Proficiency in UG NX and ANSYS Fluent/CFX for design and simulation activities.
  • Experience with Teamcenter/PLM systems and engineering data management.
  • Exposure to prototype development, testing, validation, and product performance benchmarking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform data-driven root cause analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced R&D environment.
