Role Description The Tester – Mobile and Web role is a remote position focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of ThapalaBox’s applications. Day-to-day tasks include executing test cases on mobile and web platforms, identifying and documenting defects, and validating fixes in collaboration with developers and product teams. The tester will help review requirements and user flows, perform functional, regression, and usability testing, and contribute to improving test coverage and test documentation.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Software Quality and Software Quality Assurance, with an interest in testing mobile and web applications.
  • Quality Assurance and Test Management skills to design, organize, and execute test plans and test cases effectively.
  • Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, troubleshoot issues, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and familiarity with bug tracking or project management tools like Jira/Zephyr.
  • Completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail, curiosity about user experience, and willingness to learn modern testing practices and tools.
  • Experience or coursework in mobile/web app testing, automation tools, or scripting languages is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of past testing experience is proffered.

Compensation range is 2.4 - 3 LPA
