Role & responsibilities
Job Purpose The Manager HR (SCM) is a key HR Business Partner responsible for managing end-to-end HR delivery for the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function. The role aligns HR strategy to SCM function-specific goals, manages operational HR processes, supports employee engagement and well-being, and acts as the primary liaison between HR and the business. It ensures that HR solutions are tailored to business realities while maintaining consistency in people practices.
Primary Responsibilities
HR Strategy Alignment & Functional Partnership- Translate enterprise-wide HR strategies into BU specific HR plans in alignment with business needs
- Partner with SCM leadership team to proactively support talent planning, workforce deployment, and capability building
- Customize HR programs (engagement, rewards, diversity) to suit sales-specific contexts while adhering to enterprise frameworks
- Act as the HR representative in functional reviews, planning discussions, and employee forums
- Drive end-to-end performance management process for the SCM function including goal setting, reviews, calibration, and development planning
- Support functional managers in identifying high-potential employees and implementing Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
- Collaborate with relevant COEs to facilitate training and capability-building initiatives for function-specific needs
- Execute timely and accurate manpower planning in coordination with Talent Acquisition and Business
- Manage all HR operations for the SCM function including onboarding, exits, documentation, and payroll inputs
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and audit requirements; maintain confidentiality of employee records
- Lead exit procedures including interviews, settlements, and documentation, ensuring a positive offboarding experience
- Act as custodian for policy adherence and escalate deviations to HR leadership
- Design and execute employee engagement programs tailored to the functional context of supply chain management
- Drive Rewards & Recognition programs and other morale-boosting initiatives
- Address grievances, counsel employees and supervisors, and support resolution of ER issues in a fair and consistent manner
- Investigate and report on Code of Conduct and other compliance related cases in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders
- Prepare and publish HR dashboards, SCM function-specific reports, and analytics for business and HR reviews
- Engage proactively with sales employees at all levels and regions, acting as a trusted advisor and communication bridge
- Coordinate with HR COEs for ensuring service delivery excellence
- Elevate function-specific issues, concerns, and process improvement ideas to the Vertical Head BU HR (SCM) & COE
