Sr FinOps Lease Abstraction Analyst

<div>Position Overview:<br />We are looking for an experienced Senior Lease Abstraction Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will perform detailed lease document abstraction, conduct quality control, and lead initiatives to improve efficiency across our lease abstraction operations.</p> <p>Required Qualifications<br />Experience & Skills<br />• Experience with lease abstraction and lease administration<br />• Strong understanding of commercial and retail lease structures and terminology<br />• Proficiency with lease abstraction software and tools<br />• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and database management<br />• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills<br />• High attention to detail and accuracy in data processing</p> <p>Technical Competencies<br />• Experience with lease accounting standards<br />• Knowledge of real estate terminology and lease provisions<br />• Familiarity with quality control processes and methods<br />• Understanding of process improvement approaches (Six Sigma, Lean preferred)</p> <p>Soft Skills<br />• Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br />• Strong organizational and time-management skills<br />• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities<br />• Leadership ability, including mentoring strengths<br />• Collaborative team mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement</p> <p>Key Job Responsibilities<br />Lease Document Abstraction<br />• Thoroughly abstract lease documents by extracting key terms, conditions, and other critical data points<br />• Review complex lease agreements to capture essential information such as rent schedules, lease terms, renewal options, and special provisions<br />• Enter data accurately and maintain documentation in line with established standards and procedures<br />• Process high volumes of leases while preserving accuracy and attention to detail<br />Quality Control & Review<br />• Perform in-depth quality checks on completed lease abstractions<br />• Spot discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies in abstracted information<br />• Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to support corrections<br />• Uphold quality expectations and ensure compliance with client requirements and internal processes<br />• Confirm data accuracy against original source documents<br />Process Improvement & Defect Management<br />• Identify defects and inefficiencies in the lease abstraction workflow<br />• Investigate root causes of repeated issues and develop corrective action plans<br />• Lead process improvement projects to streamline operations and increase productivity<br />• Work with team members to implement best practices and standardized procedures<br />• Record process improvements and keep procedural guidance up to date<br />Additional Responsibilities<br />• Mentor and support junior team members<br />• Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions<br />• Stay current on lease accounting standards and industry best practices<br />• Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed</p> <p>– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Commerce (B.
