The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking an SQL Query Creation Specialist to write gold SQL queries for 100 user questions related to sports events. You will use a provided database, including its tables and information, to create perfect queries that return the information required to answer each original question.

You will receive access to the database and labeling tool, along with support as you complete the work. The project team will also provide context and tribal knowledge and work directly with you throughout the engagement.

What You’ll Do

You will interpret natural-language questions about sports events and translate them into precise SQL statements. Each query should correctly retrieve the information needed to answer its corresponding user question.

  • Review each human-written sports query
  • Explore and use the provided database tables and information
  • Write accurate gold SQL queries
  • Handle advanced SQL queries where required
  • Complete the work in the provided labeling tool
  • Collaborate with the existing team for project support and context

Requirements

This project requires strong technical SQL ability and the judgment to produce exact answers from a database schema. You should be a native or highly fluent English speaker, an SQL expert, and experienced in data labeling.
