Day-to-day responsibilities • Implement well-scoped features against a written spec. • Investigate and fix bugs with a reproducible test case. • Contribute to design discussions for small components. • Keep technical documentation current as code changes. • Document your work clearly so the next person can pick it up. • Take part in stand-ups, planning and review sessions with the team. Tools and technologies you will use Data Structures, Algorithms, System Design Basics, Git, REST APIs, SQL, Testing, Debugging, Agile, Documentation — plus the internal tooling Paytm uses day to day. What you will learn The engineering fundamentals that separate working code from maintainable code, learned on a real product. Team structure You report to a senior team member who acts as your mentor, inside a pod of 6-10 people. Weekly 1:1s track progress and a mid-internship review tells you exactly where you stand.
