Software Development Manager, Timehub, Amazonian Experience and Technology.

TimeHub is chartered to build a world-class Time & Attendance platform that powers the full lifecycle of time tracking and pay computation for over 1.8 million hourly associates across Amazon's global operations — spanning Fulfillment Centers, Delivery Stations, Customer Service and other business lines. Our systems sit on the critical path of Amazon operations: every shift worked, every time-off request, every accrual balance, and every paycheck generated flows through our platform. Getting it right matters — accuracy, reliability, and speed directly impact associate trust, pay correctness, and regulatory compliance across 65+ countries. Are you a seasoned engineering leader who thrives on building high-performing teams and solving complex, real-world problems at massive scale? We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead an engineering team within TimeHub, owning critical components of the Time & Attendance ecosystem. In this role, you will own a multi-year technical strategy for your team's domain, drive engineering excellence, and partner closely with product management, Amazonian Experience technology, and operations stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes for Amazon's workforce worldwide. You will tackle challenges unique to this space — computing pay accurately across thousands of policy configurations, ensuring sub-second latency for real-time time capture, and scaling systems that process hundreds of millions of transactions weekly. Key job responsibilities * Own the technical vision and architecture for Amazon time-off management and pay policy execution — designing scalable, fault-tolerant systems that compute accurately across thousands of policy configurations and regional regulations. * Build and lead a high-performing team — recruit, coach, and retain top talent; mentor engineers across levels. * Raise the engineering excellence bar — drive best practices in code quality, design reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD, and documentation to ensure long-term maintainability and developer velocity. * Drive operational excellence — own service health, on-call, monitoring, and post-mortem rigor for pay-critical systems. * Define and prioritize the product roadmap — make crisp trade-offs between new capability development, tech debt reduction, and operational hardening in partnership with product, payroll, and compliance stakeholders. * Drive cross-team alignment across TimeHub, Scheduling, DLS, WSTT, PXT, and Operations — removing blockers and ensuring seamless delivery across the time-to-pay pipeline.
