Senior Sales – Government & Defence (Firewall & Network Security)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Government Sales professional to drive the sales of our Firewall and Network Security Solutions across Central Government, State Government, Defence, PSUs, Smart Cities, and other public sector organizations. The candidate should have a strong Government sales background, established relationships with key stakeholders, and a successful track record in selling enterprise cybersecurity and network security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for end-to-end sales of Firewall and Network Security solutions across Government, Defence, PSU, Smart City, and other public sector organizations.

Develop and execute GTM strategies to expand the Government business across India.

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through direct customers, channel partners, and System Integrators.

Build and maintain strong relationships with Government departments, Defence organizations, PSUs, consultants, OEM partners, and key decision-makers.

Drive the complete sales lifecycle including opportunity identification, customer engagement, solution positioning, proposal submission, commercial negotiation, tender participation, and deal closure.

Manage Government procurement processes including GeM, RFPs, EOIs, tenders, and framework contracts.

Work closely with pre-sales, technical, and delivery teams to design and position security solutions aligned with customer requirements.

Develop strategies to acquire new Government accounts while expanding existing customer relationships.

Understand customer cybersecurity strategies, network architecture, compliance requirements, and security modernization initiatives.

Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipeline, and CRM updates.

Monitor market trends, Government cybersecurity initiatives, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.

Support partner enablement, marketing campaigns, industry events, and lead generation activities.

Core Competencies

Proven experience in Government & Defence sales with strong relationships across Central Government, State Government, Defence, PSUs, and System Integrators.

Strong understanding of Government procurement processes including GeM, RFPs, and tender management.

Experience selling enterprise Firewall, Network Security, and Cybersecurity solutions.

Ability to engage with CIOs, CISOs, IT Heads, Security Architects, and Network Administrators.

Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and account management skills.

Excellent analytical, presentation, and business development capabilities.

Proven ability to consistently achieve revenue targets.

Self-driven, result-oriented, and capable of managing strategic Government accounts.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
