LLP delivers sound financial solutions and strategic advice to clients. Role Description The Senior, Direct Tax role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The role involves managing and reviewing direct tax compliance for individuals, corporations, and other entities, including preparation and filing of income tax returns and tax computations. The professional will handle tax assessments, appeals, and representations before tax authorities, and provide advisory support on tax planning, structuring, and transaction-related matters. Responsibilities include reviewing tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and supporting statutory audits from a direct tax perspective. The role also requires mentoring junior team members, coordinating with clients on queries and documentation, and staying updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and compliant advisory services. Qualifications Strong expertise in Indian direct tax laws, including income tax, TDS, and related regulations, with experience in tax compliance and advisory. Hands-on experience in handling tax assessments, appeals, and representations before tax authorities and regulatory bodies. Proficiency in tax computation, return filing, reporting, and working with tax and accounting software tools. Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and their interaction with tax provisions and deferred tax. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills to interpret complex tax issues and develop practical solutions. Strong communication and client management skills, with the ability to explain technical tax matters clearly and professionally. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and review work of junior team members in a fast-paced professional services environment. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent professional degree in finance, accounting, or taxation. Prior experience in a Chartered Accountant firm or tax consulting environment, preferably in a senior or supervisory capacity. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance and professional ethics. .
