Sales Engineer – Oil & Gas

Role Description: We seek an experienced Sales Engineer for the Oil & Gas sector, focusing on PSU and private refineries, EPC contractors, and OEMs. Responsibilities include business development, sales, tendering, order finalization, and customer relationship management. Responsibilities: - Manage business with PSU and private refineries. - Build relationships with EPC companies and OEMs. - Identify new business opportunities and tenders. - Achieve sales targets and revenue goals. - Handle RFQs, tenders, and offers for refinery projects. - Coordinate with engineering, costing, and procurement teams. - Negotiate commercial terms and pricing. - Support order finalization and contract review. - Act as a contact between customers, EPCs, OEMs, and internal teams. - Attend technical and commercial meetings. - Support project execution teams. - Resolve customer issues. - Track market trends and competitor activities. - Maintain customer and project databases. - Provide feedback on market requirements and product improvements. Requirements: - Understanding of refinery processes and equipment. - Experience with PSU procurement systems, GeM portal, CPPP, and e-tendering. - Excellent techno-commercial knowledge. - Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. - Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects. - BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering. - MBA (Sales/Marketing) – advantageous. - Experience in valves, instruments, rotating equipment, packages, skids, or refinery equipment. - Strong working relationships with EPCs and OEMs. - Proven track record in order booking and key account management.
