QA Analyst – Microsoft D-365, F&O
Job Description:
- Analyse business requirements and user stories and translate them into test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for D365 F&O processes
- Execute end-to-end testing across D365 F&O modules, validating configurations, customisations, security roles, and business workflows
- Perform smoke, sanity, functional, integration, regression, and UAT support testing for releases and hotfixes
- Build and maintain test plans and test suites in Azure DevOps Test Plans or equivalent tools
- Maintain test artefacts and execution evidence for release readiness and auditability
- Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects; participate in defect triage; re-test fixes and validate closure
- Report test progress, defect trends, and release risk to stakeholders
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites using RSAT
- Use Task Recorder assets to create and maintain automated business process tests
- Manage parameterisation through Excel parameter files and integrate executions and results with Azure DevOps
- Support regression packs and execution cycles
- Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, business users, and release managers during sprint and release cycles
- Support release validation and regression coverage for periodic updates and production deployments
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA documentation, test assets, processes, templates, and automation coverage
Requirements:
- 5–7 years of overall Quality Assurance experience, including manual and automated testing
- Proven experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), or Dynamics AX with strong F&O exposure
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and test design techniques
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or ALM
- Experience with test automation tools, including RSAT
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan, design, and execute test plans aligned to requirements and quality standards
- Ability to identify, isolate, document, and track defects, and verify fixes
- Strong documentation discipline
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
