Maximum age 67 years as on the last date of submission of application. Not eligible for re-appointment. Persons who have held any post in ASI/Ministry of Culture, who were not found fit for such a post, or who have any interest in a prohibited/regulated area are not eligible. Tenure 3 years from the date of assuming office or till attaining the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier. Salary Fixed salary of Rs. 2,25,000/- per month plus other allowances admissible to an officer of the rank of Secretary to Government of India. For pensioners, pay reduced by gross pension amount. Not entitled to LTC, leave encashment, medical allowance or government accommodation.
