Are you detail-oriented and experienced in medical claims auditing? CODELAB Management Services is looking for a Claim Auditor to join our growing team and ensure accuracy and compliance across insurance claims and medical billing processes.

Job Description:

The Medical Coder – Auditor is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant coding of medical records in line with UAE healthcare regulations and international coding standards. The role involves auditing clinical documentation and coding to verify adherence to DHA / DOH / MOHAP guidelines, insurance payer requirements, and applicable coding rules, while supporting the healthcare facility’s revenue cycle and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate coding of diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
  • Perform audits to verify compliance with DHA / DOH / MOHAP coding and billing guidelines.
  • Review records, identify errors, and prepare audit reports.
  • Provide feedback and training to improve coding accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with physicians to clarify documentation.
  • Support the revenue cycle team in resolving coding-related denials.
  • Stay updated on UAE health authority circulars and international coding changes.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in line with UAE data privacy laws.

Requirements:

  • Valid coding certification such as CPC or CCS, or UAE-recognized equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical coding, with at least 1-2 years in a coding audit role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10 CM, CPT, and healthcare reimbursement guidelines in the UAE.
  • Familiarity with DHA, DOH, and MOHAP coding and billing regulations.
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical documentation.
  • Proficient in using medical coding and billing software, as well as EMR systems.
  • Strong analytical, auditing, and reporting skills.
  • Good communication and training abilities.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
