Maths Teacher / Tutor - Remote, Part Time

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Remote Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students from Grade 4 through high school. As a Math Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing support and guidance to help students achieve their academic goals.

 

Work Hours Options:

Must be able to work online. Select from one of these options -

 

  • Option 1 - 4:30 AM to 7:30 AM IST on Weekdays
  • Option 2 - 7 pm to 10:30 pm on Weekends

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Virtual Tutoring for International Students ( USA )
  • The primary responsibility is to instruct American middle and high school students in mathematics in mainly a group setting and occasionally 1 on 1 learning sessions, through our online platform.
  • Instruct as per the math curricula relevant to the grade (curriculum outline /topics will be provided by us). Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of students in Grade 4 through high school.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and instructional materials to engage students and enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts.

 

SKILLS

 

Must be capable of teaching up to 12th grade

Excellent English communication skills (speaking/reading/writing/listening)

Experience in teaching/tutoring, especially online tutoring will be preferred

Basic computer knowledge is mandatory ( Zoom, Excel / Google Sheets, PowerPoint / Google Slides, etc. )

 

Education and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics ( Masters Degree in Mathematics preferred ) from an accredited university.

 

Equipment required - Computer, Internet connection, Head Phones, Pen Tablet, Power Backup

 

Experience :

  • A minimum of 1 year experience teaching / tutoring students.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to patiently explain concepts to students.
