We are looking for passionate and knowledgeable Mathematics Teachers to join our growing team and teach students from Grades 9 to 12.

Job Details

  • Job Title: Online Mathematics Teacher (Grades 9–12)
  • Organization: STAR Mentorship
  • Job Type: Part-Time / Freelance
  • Work Mode: Remote (Work From Home)
  • Time: 4 pm to 9 pm
  • Compensation: ₹200–₹300 per hour, based on subject expertise and experience
  • Working Hours: Flexible, based on student requirements and mutually agreed schedules
  • Experience: Prior online teaching experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular online Mathematics classes for students in Grades 9–12.
  • Deliver well-structured and engaging lessons according to the student's curriculum and academic requirements.
  • Conduct interactive, two-way classes that encourage student participation, questioning, and conceptual understanding.
  • Explain complex mathematical concepts using simple, effective, and student-friendly teaching methods.
  • Identify students' learning gaps and provide personalized academic support.
  • Monitor student progress, assign homework, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain regular attendance, class updates, and academic records.
  • Coordinate professionally with the academic team regarding student progress, class schedules, and feedback.
  • Ensure timely attendance and consistency in all scheduled classes.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject is preferred.
  • Candidates with a relevant Bachelor's degree and strong subject expertise may also apply.
  • Excellent command of Mathematics topics taught in Grades 9–12.
  • Strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Prior experience teaching CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, GCSE, IB, A-Level, or other international curricula will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and a student-friendly teaching approach.

Essential Skills

  • Strong online teaching and classroom management skills.
  • Familiarity with online teaching platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to use digital whiteboards, screen sharing, and online educational tools.
  • Ability to conduct engaging, interactive, and two-way learning sessions.
  • Lesson planning, time management, and student progress tracking.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods according to students' learning needs.
  • Professional communication and coordination skills.
  • A responsible, punctual, and self-motivated approach to work.

Technical Requirements (Mandatory)

Candidates must have the following:

  • A reliable laptop or computer suitable for online teaching.
  • A tablet with stylus support or another suitable digital writing setup for solving mathematical problems.
  • Stable, high-speed Wi-Fi or internet connectivity.
  • Reliable power backup to avoid interruptions during classes.
  • A good-quality headset or microphone for clear communication.
  • A quiet, professional teaching environment with minimal background noise.
  • A working camera and the ability to keep it switched on during classes.
