Role Description The Legal Clerk (Steno/Typist/Document Filing) in Supreme Court at Lekhak.app is a part-time hybrid role based in New Delhi, with some flexibility for remote work. The clerk will support legal teams by typing and formatting court documents, drafting basic legal correspondence, and preparing case files using Lekhak’s translation tools where needed.
Daily responsibilities include organizing and filing physical and digital documents, maintaining accurate records and case indexes, and ensuring timely follow-up on pending matters. The role also involves coordinating with advocates and court staff, handling stenographic tasks during meetings or proceedings when required, and maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to legal procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of Law and court procedures, especially related to Supreme Court documentation.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to review documents, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy in filings.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with legal teams, court officials, and external stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Legal Document Preparation skills, including typing, formatting, and organizing petitions, affidavits, and supporting documents.
- Candidates should possess reliability in Following Up on case deadlines, document requests, and status updates.
- Proficiency in stenography, typing (including legal formatting), and basic computer skills (MS Office, PDF tools, document management systems) is beneficial.
