Lead Accounts & Finance : Permanent WFH : AAPNA Infotech

We're looking for a Lead Accountant (CA) who can take ownership of day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance, audits, MIS reporting, support finance automation + AI-ready dashboards & lead finance operations while guiding the team

Your Role – What You’ll Do

1) Accounting & Book Closure

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts as per Indian GAAP
  • Should have knowledge about US GAAP
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closures within timelines
  • Perform ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Support preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
2) Revenue, Billing & Collections Support
  • Support billing for IT services (T&M / Fixed Price) and products
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition (with leadership guidance)
  • Track unbilled revenue, accruals, and deferred income
  • Support collections follow-ups and DSO tracking
  • Lead and mentor junior accounting team members.
3) Statutory Compliance & Taxation (India) Ensure timely statutory compliance for:
  • GST (returns, reconciliations, notices)
  • TDS (deductions, filings, Form 16/16A)
  • PF, ESIC, Professional Tax
  • Income Tax filings (support role)
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation
4) Payroll & Employee Cost Accounting
  • Process monthly payroll accounting entries
  • Reconcile payroll costs with HR records
  • Track employee cost details like:

  • CTC vs actual
  • Bench/non-billable costs
  • Fresher cost tracking (training + shadow period)
5) MIS, Reporting & Data Accuracy
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports as per AVP – Finance guidance

  • Ensure accuracy in
  • Project-wise costs
  • Department-wise expenses

  • Vendor spends
  • Support finance dashboards using Power BI / Zoho Analytics
6) Vendor & Expense Management
  • Manage vendor reconciliations and payments
  • Validate expenses as per company policies
  • Support cost analysis and optimization initiatives
7) Automation & AI Readiness (Important for AAPNA)
  • Support finance automation initiatives (billing, MIS, reconciliations)
  • Work on systems like Tally / Zoho / ERP tools
  • Assist AVP – Finance in:

  • Process documentation
  • Data hygiene for AI dashboards
  • No-code/low-code workflow improvements
8) ESOP Governance & Accounting
  • Oversee ESOP structuring and ongoing administration
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and tax laws
  • Review ESOP accounting (valuation, expense recognition, disclosures)
  • Coordinate with external valuers, legal advisors, and auditors
  • Support ESOP communication and employee queries
  • Share periodic updates to Board / Audit Committee
9) Banking Operations & Reconciliations
  • Oversee domestic and international remittances (RBI/FEMA compliance)
  • Monitor cash positioning and fund availability
  • Ensure timely bank reconciliations and closure of discrepancies
  • Maintain documentation, audit trails, and strong internal controls
  • Strengthen controls to prevent errors, delays, and fraud
10) Payroll Management
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing and salary disbursement
  • Validate attendance, leave, incentives, reimbursements, deductions
  • Ensure secure salary slip distribution and payroll record maintenance
  • Handle payroll queries in coordination with HR

  • Ensure compliance for
  • TDS, Form 16 preparation and issuance
  • PF, ESIC, and other payroll laws
11) USA & Australia Accounting & Taxation (Plus Point)
  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements
  • Monthly / Quarterly Indirect Tax Returns
  • Periodic bookkeeping
  • Annual Tax Returns (Businesses + Individuals)
  • Liaison with CA and auditors for tax and audit support
12) Labour & POSH Compliance

Ensure annual compliance with

  • POSH Act
  • Payment of Wages Act
  • Minimum Wages Act
  • Maternity Benefit Act
  • Bonus Act (including bonus return filing)

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

  • 4–5 years’ experience in accounting and finance.
  • Experience in IT Services / Software company preferred
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of:
  • GST & TDS
  • Month-end closing

  • Accounting standards

Good to Have
  • SaaS / product company exposure
  • ERP / finance automation tools experience
  • Comfort working with dashboards, data, and analytics
