<strong>Editage</strong>, the flagship brand of <strong>CACTUS</strong>, provides translation services to help ESL (English-as-a-second-language) researchers communicate their science to the global scientific community. We are currently looking for skilled translators to work with us on a freelance basis.<br><br><strong>Job description:</strong> We are seeking experienced translators with strong subject matter expertise to review content translated using AI. This includes both academic manuscripts and non-academic material originally written in various languages. In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated translations to ensure they are accurate, fluent, and meet high linguistic and contextual standards in native-level English or the target language.<br><br><strong>Key responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ensure that the AI-generated text accurately conveys the meaning of the source manuscript</li><li>Identify and revise any incorrect terminology, unclear phrases, or convoluted sentence structures</li><li>Enhance the fluency, grammar, and readability of the translated output</li><li>Compare the AI translation with the original text to identify and correct missing or mistranslated content</li><li>Deliver final outputs that are clear, natural, and reflect the appropriate tone in English or the target language, whether academic or non-academic<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements:<br><br></strong>Applicants must meet <strong>any one</strong> of the following criteria:<br><br><ul><li>A degree in Translation or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training from a recognized institution</li><li>A graduate (or higher) degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education plus two years of comprehensive professional experience in translation</li><li>Five years of comprehensive professional experience in translation<br><br><br></li></ul>Note: If you were associated with us in a similar role in the past, please contact us at freelancetranslator@cactusglobal.com before you apply/register.
