Job Title: Junior Mechanical Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time | On-site | Project-Based (with long-term opportunity)

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000/month (Based on qualification & experience)

Experience Level: Freshers and up to 2 years


Job Overview:

Delhi Metro is inviting applications for Junior Mechanical Engineers to assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of metro infrastructure and rolling stock. This opportunity is ideal for diploma and B.Tech holders in Mechanical Engineering who are ready to work in fast-paced, high-standard public transport projects.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
    • Minimum 60% marks from a recognized institute/university
  • Experience:
    • Freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant field experience can apply
  • Age Limit: 18–30 years (relaxation as per govt. norms)
  • Skills Required:
    • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, welding, HVAC, hydraulics, and pneumatics
    • Understanding of safety standards, preventive maintenance, and reporting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior engineers in installation and maintenance of metro systems (escalators, HVAC, lifts, depot equipment)
  • Supervise on-site mechanical work at stations or construction locations
  • Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and system checks
  • Maintain technical documentation and service logs
  • Ensure adherence to DMRC safety and operational guidelines
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and quality teams

Working Conditions:

  • Rotational Shifts may be required (Day/Night)
  • Field-based work in metro stations, depots, or tunnel areas
  • Safety gear, PPE, and ID card provided
