Company Description Ecomine is a DPIITrecognized deeptech startup transforming mineral exploration in India through advanced AI and ML technologies Its flagship platform Spectropy is a proprietary prediction engine that integrates hyperspectral satellite imagery drillcore analysis and multiple geophysical datasets into a unified subsurface intelligence layer Using spectral unmixing geophysical inversion and deeplearning models tailored to Indian terrains Spectropy generates highconfidence mineral prospectivity maps from surface to drill depth This datadriven physicsinformed approach replaces fragmented costly workflows and guides geologists on where to drill and why Applicants will join a growing team focused on realworld impact at the intersection of geoscience and cuttingedge AI Role Description This is a fulltime remote internship role for an AI ML Engineer unpaid The intern will assist in designing training and evaluating machine learning and deep learning models for mineral prospectivity and geospatial analysis Daytoday tasks may include data preprocessing feature engineering algorithm prototyping and implementation of neural networks and statistical models The intern will support experimentation model optimization and documentation collaborating closely with senior engineers and domain experts to integrate models into the Spectropy platform The role also involves reviewing relevant research literature implementing stateoftheart methods and contributing to internal tools and workflows in a structured learningfocused environment Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms with the ability to implement and optimize computational solutions Knowledge of Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks including experience with deep learning frameworks e g TensorFlow PyTorch Understanding of Statistics and probabilistic modeling especially as applied to data analysis and machine learning Pursuing or having completed a degree in Computer Science Data Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field Experience with Python and common ML libraries NumPy pandas scikitlearn and familiarity with version control e g Git Ability to work independently in a remote setting manage time effectively and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Interest in geospatial data earth sciences or applications of AI to realworld industrial problems is a plus Strong analytical thinking problemsolving skills and clear written communication for documenting methods and results
