Providing an excellent service to all India colleagues, in partnership with the broader HR team

  • Covering a range of services that span the full employee lifecycle, the role manages and responds to queries, providing regional advice on HR policy/process/system queries - owning, supporting, resolving or escalating as appropriate
  • Is the face for colleagues when they join the Company, providing an informative and supportive onboarding experience.
  • Uses credibility and gravitas to influence colleagues to follow global HR processes across all elements of the employee lifecycle
  • In collaboration with UK HR colleagues, manages local ER matters to resolution balancing risk and business requirements
  • Maintains HR records for regional employees, and collaborates with Payroll to ensure that payroll and benefits data is accurate and provided in a timely manner

Responsible for executing and embedding the People plan in the region, in partnership with the broader HR team

  • Provides counsel, options and expertise to influence, shape and deliver the practical implementation of HR initiatives within the region, to support the delivery of the people strategy.
  • Gains buy-in and voice of the customer from the region on planned HR projects using strong working relationships and in-depth knowledge of the region.
  • Ensures appropriate in-region communication.
  • Leads people projects driven by the requirements from the region in line with the people strategy.

Responsible for the India office workplace experience

  • Ensure the India office is presented to the highest level, being attractive, welcoming, safe and run seamlessly and efficiently for both employees and visitors
  • Responsible for hosting events in the building space
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a social community around the building that creates a sense of purpose for office presence
  • Manage all aspects of office suppliers, in collaboration with global teams such as Tech and Finance, ensuring service delivery in line with contract, budget and relationship management.

  • Resources deployed to optimise experience.

Use cultural awareness and commercial acumen to find pragmatic solutions

  • Build a strong understanding and the region supported to ensure the People strategy is fit for purpose
  • Good understanding of the budget process to ensure strong collaboration with the HR team to ensure the People budget reflects the organisation and region demands

  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to both UK and Indian cultures demonstrated
