HR Business Partner – Manager
Job Description:
- Own employee relations end to end, including investigations, grievances, conflict, and formal performance processes
- Run India exits, including documentation, statutory exposure, settlements, and case files
- Operate the performance framework, including cycle mechanics, calibration, and moderation across offshore teams
- Run the compensation cycle, apply bands, enforce defensible positions, and provide India market data
- Own India compliance covering policy, Labour Codes, and POSH
- Analyze attrition with associated costs and recommend changes
- Run engagement surveys, manager-owned action plans, and team events
- Set standards and protect the scope of the HR coordinator
- Evaluate and advocate for better tools and reshape manually run processes
- Build the offshore people function and close gaps in compliance, attrition insight, and process documentation
- Within the first three months, complete a formal employee relations process, calibrate a performance cycle, audit and close India policy/Labour Codes/POSH positions, deliver attrition analysis, run the first engagement survey, and launch team events
Requirements:
- End-to-end experience running an India termination, including documentation, statutory exposure, settlement, and the final file
- Experience carrying an investigation or grievance with a contested outcome
- Experience operating a performance cycle across multiple teams, including calibration and rating moderation
- Experience running a compensation cycle with bands applied and market data sourced and defended
- Experience owning India policy and Labour Codes work, including POSH committee, policy, training, and reporting
- Writing that withstands legal review, including investigation summaries, warning letters, and exit files
- Experience holding a position against senior stakeholders and changing position when proven wrong
- Typically five to eight years of experience
- Nice to have: GCC, offshore delivery centre, or multi-country people experience
- Nice to have: experience standing up a people function
- Nice to have: experience with an external payroll and compliance bureau
- Nice to have: experience in Education, EdTech, or another organisation focused on people’s outcomes
