The Global

Roles, Governance & Compliance (RGC) team, based in Pune, is responsible for governing role design and user controls across the EVO SAP landscape. The SAP Role Designer plays a key role in ensuring that access to the EVO SAP environment is designed in alignment with the Core Business Model and complies with Vodafone security and compliance requirements. The role acts as the RGC representative for change requests within the EVO demand process, working closely with system integrators, project managers and global stakeholders to support role design, build, testing and deployment activities. The successful candidate will contribute to the continuous enhancement of SAP security processes and user access management practices across the organisation.

You are an experienced SAP Security professional with deep expertise in SAP role design, governance and compliance. You can translate business requirements into effective SAP security solutions while ensuring adherence to established policies and controls. You are comfortable working with diverse stakeholders in a global environment and are recognised for your collaborative approach, analytical thinking and commitment to quality.

You continuously seek opportunities to improve processes while balancing business requirements, security standards and compliance obligations.

What you will do

  • Analyse solutions provided by system integrators to ensure all user access security requirements are appropriately addressed.
  • Design, build and test consistent global SAP roles across EVO systems, supporting the adoption of SAP application best practices.
  • Ensure all SAP roles are accurately maintained within the EVO SAP Roles Catalogue.
  • Ensure user access processes operate in line with Global IT controls and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Manage the design of SAP security roles to meet business needs and provide specialist guidance on user access and security-related matters.
  • Collaborate with system integrators and project managers to ensure security requirements are delivered within demand timelines.
  • Support testing activities and go-live preparations to ensure compliance with Vodafone EVO security policies.
  • Act as a key point of contact for global teams regarding issue resolution and enhancements related to SAP security role design and user access processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve governance frameworks, security processes and user access management practices.

Technical and Professional Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge with 10-12 years of SAP implementation and support experience across multiple SAP modules including R/3, HANA, BI, HR, EP, MDM, SRM, CRM, PI and SuccessFactors.
  • Experience managing end-to-end implementation or upgrade programmes within consulting or operational environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to provide techno-functional recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment while managing priorities and maintaining quality standards.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • General knowledge of GRC, SoD analysis, SOX and IT controls.
