This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with strong expertise in Government Sales and technical solution selling, capable of managing complex sales cycles from opportunity identification through contract closure.<br><br>As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for expanding market presence, identifying new business opportunities, managing government tenders, and delivering tailored technical solutions that address customer requirements. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams while contributing to large-scale infrastructure and public sector initiatives. Frequent travel across the assigned region is an integral part of this position.<br><br><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Drive business development initiatives across the Western region by identifying and pursuing new government and public sector opportunities</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal corporations, government agencies, consultants, and key decision-makers</li><li>Manage the complete sales lifecycle, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure</li><li>Prepare and coordinate technical proposals, tenders, bid documentation, and commercial submissions</li><li>Collaborate with technical, engineering, and operations teams to deliver customized solutions aligned with customer requirements</li><li>Monitor government projects, procurement opportunities, and industry developments to identify potential business opportunities</li><li>Conduct customer meetings, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase solution capabilities</li><li>Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business development plans</li><li>Ensure timely follow-up on customer requirements and support contract execution through effective stakeholder coordination</li><li>Represent the organization at industry events, government forums, and customer engagements to strengthen market presence<br><br></li></ul><strong>What Makes You a Great Fit<br><br></strong><ul><li>7+ years of experience in Government Sales, Business Development, or Technical Solution Sales</li><li>Proven expertise in managing sales within government, municipal, or public sector environments</li><li>Strong experience handling government tenders, bid management, and proposal preparation</li><li>Industry experience in water, wastewater, sanitation, environmental solutions, municipal infrastructure, industrial equipment, or related sectors is essential</li><li>Excellent understanding of technical product sales and consultative solution-selling methodologies</li><li>Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Ability to manage long sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers and regulatory processes</li><li>Excellent communication, presentation, and business development capabilities</li><li>Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple opportunities</li><li>Willingness to travel extensively across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, and other locations within the assigned territory</li></ul>
