General Manager – Government Sales

Designation:

Senior Manager / General Manager – Business Development (Final designation will be decided based on experience and interview)

The Business Development – Government Projects role will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within government and institutional sectors

, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting the growth of CS Direkt’s experiential design and immersive infrastructure projects.

The role involves lead generation, tender tracking, proposal development, client engagement, and coordination with internal teams to successfully convert opportunities into large-scale experiential projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within government ministries, tourism departments, cultural institutions, smart city initiatives, and public infrastructure projects.
  • Track and evaluate government tenders, RFPs, and project opportunities related to museums, exhibitions, heritage installations, experience centres, theme parks, and projection mapping shows and closely work with the finance team to understand the business.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives and market positioning.
  • Generate leads through multiple channels including LinkedIn, professional networks, industry databases, direct outreach, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, consultants, architects, and institutional stakeholders.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and discussions to understand project requirements and align CS Direkt’s solutions accordingly.
  • Work closely with design, creative, and project teams to develop compelling proposals, concept presentations, and project pitches.
  • Analyze client requirements and translate them into customized experiential project proposals.
  • Support proposal preparation including technical documentation, commercial proposals, and tender submissions.
  • Maintain and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and opportunity tracking.
  • Conduct market and industry research to identify emerging opportunities in experiential design, museum development, heritage tourism, and immersive technology projects.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, pre-bids and networking forums to expand business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and revenue pipelines to support strategic business planning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless transition of projects from sales to execution.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships to support repeat business and future project opportunities.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Min 10+ years of experience in business development, government sales, or institutional project acquisition with prior experience in events, exhibitions, experiential design, museums, heritage projects, or Sound & Light shows will be highly preferred.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in B2G sales or government project acquisition.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities with government and institutional stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and opportunity identification capability with strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and client relationships simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and structured approach to proposal and tender processes.
