We are seeking a candidate to develop and lead a team that will expand Enclosures" Manufacturing Design organisation in India. As part of this role, you will have broad influence while leading and growing a team responsible for ensuring that Apple"s manufacturing partners deliver high quality mechanical enclosures for Appleʼs products. This person will be an expert in their field and have a strong track record of working with factories in India / globally that produce complex, Lead and grow a talented team of Global Supply Managers that have experience leading Mechanical Enclosure manufacturing operations in a rapidly expanding and dynamic landscape, while seamlessly collaborating with technical teams\ Build credibility as world-class operational leader with technical acumen and working relationship / trust with senior executives, cross-functional manufacturing peers, engineering teams, and factory partners\ Strong focus on training, functional expertise development, and overall leadership\ Ensure factory readiness so that product enclosures are of high quality and are able to be produced in high volume on schedule\ Hands on leadership with the ability to interface and work closely with the manufacturing leadership team in Cupertino and other Apple locations 12+ years of high volume manufacturing operations, with a strong engineering or product development background\ 2+ years of experience in a Technical Leadership role, building high performance teams\ Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent\ Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%. MS in Supply Chain or MBA\ Experience working with OEMs and Contract Manufacturers in the Consumer Electronics Industry\ Hands-on experience in any of the following: mechanical engineering, mechanical development, manufacturing practices/techniques involving CNC Machined parts, sheet metal, enclosures, casings, jigs, tooling, fixtures, injection molding, vacuum forming, plastic parts, ceramics, etc.\ Deep reasoning ability, both analytic and strategic\ Track record of creativity and solving unusually hard problems\ Excellent communicators, capable of working with global teams\ Ability to manage cross functionally and influence/ indirectly manage other teams within Apple.\ Identify supply chain risks and proactively build supply chain resilience
