German Language Trainer (WFH & Part Time)


About the job:

Key Responsibilities:

A. Teaching & delivery
1. Conduct LIVE classes using your own Google Meet or Zoom account, with Fathom notetaker integrated for every session
2. Teach using the Netzwerk book framework, adapted for spoken-first outcomes
3. Run batches of up to 8 students, focused on building real conversational fluency
4. Conduct mock examinations in the Goethe/Telc pattern to prepare students for certification

B. Student mentorship
1. Act as a mentor and coach, not just an instructor, for students throughout their learning journey
2. Communicate fluently in both Tamil and English to support student understanding and comfort
3. Manage and actively engage the student WhatsApp group, answering questions, sharing practice material, and keeping engagement high
4. Participate in weekly German-speaking practice sessions with students

C. Documentation & reporting
1. Work closely with Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets for lesson plans, attendance, and student progress tracking
2. Submit session notes, attendance, and student progress reports back to management on a regular basis (frequency confirmed at onboarding)
3. Report directly to the management team and coordinate with fellow tutors to maintain consistency across batches

D. Ownership
1. Flag student performance issues, attendance drops, or engagement problems to management proactively, before they become bigger problems

  7. 7. Available to teach evening and/or weekend batches consistently
