Freelance Graphic Designer : Kids' Artisanal Folk Art Knitwear (Urgent)

Freelance Textile & Graphic Designer Wanted: Kids' Artisanal Folk Art Knitwear (Urgent)

We are seeking a talented freelance textile or graphic designer to create digital artwork for a premium children's capsule collection consisting of 5 flat-knit jacquard sweaters .

The ideal candidate must deeply understand an eclectic, artisanal design language rooted in naïve folk art and playful maximalism . This project is urgent, and we need someone who can translate organic, hand-drawn warmth into technical, production-ready digital files for children's knitwear.

🎨 Design Direction & Aesthetic

  • Theme : Playful maximalism, whimsical storytelling, and naive folk art elements
  • Target Demographic : Premium kidswear (fun, vibrant, yet sophisticated layouts).
  • Motifs : Asymmetrical floral layouts, organic squiggles, hearts, spirals, and raw geometric borders scaled perfectly for children's panel sizes.
  • Execution : Initial conceptual sketching by hand is highly preferred to maintain a raw, human, and imperfectly beautiful feel.
🛠️ Technical & Knit Requirements
  • Jacquard Optimization : The artwork must be designed with texturing and stitch translation in mind. You must understand how flat color shapes translate into knit structures.
  • Knit Gauge : 12G
  • Final Deliverables : Fully digitized, high-resolution, layered artwork (AI, PSD, or specialized knit software formats) mapped out for front, back, and sleeve panels.
  • Clear Repeats/Placement : Production-ready placement prints or seamless repeats optimized for kid-sized knit setups.
⏳ Project Timeline & Scope
  • Scope : 5 complete sweater artwork layouts.
  • Timeline : Immediate start. This is an extremely urgent requirement with a fast-tracked deadline for the final digitized handovers.
