Enterprise System Management Manager - Cyber Security/Defense

Job Description :

We are seeking an Enterprise System Management Manager to join our Enterprise System Management team within GTI, with a focus on cyber security detection and defense.

Describe the role :

Candidate will contribute in managing, planning, engineering, implementing, and supporting a broad base of infrastructure monitoring, data aggregation, and performance management infrastructure globally.

Candidate will have a thorough understanding of various technology principles. The role must proactively collaborate with IT and SBUs to imbed cyber threat detection, prevention and best practices into our enterprise technology, core platforms and business systems.

Candidate will work on multiple concurrent projects that are time sensitive and are dependencies for other project completions.

Candidate will manage team members and train them in ABs various technologies.

Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports :

Specific tasks include, but not limited to :

  • Drive strategy, determine the roadmap for new features, capabilities and advanced architectures including setting the standards for design, implementation, operation and monitoring/management. Weekend and weeknight work should be expected to ensure that any implementation work does not interfere with the operation of the production environment.
  • Make recommendations on strategic planning, financial planning, administration and management of the team.
  • Learn and participate in the management and support of our various monitoring solutions.
  • Take on projects to evaluate new technologies that could mature to become impactful highly utilized solutions for our clients.
  • Deploy and maintain new security technologies designed to offset current and anticipated security risks.

  • Provide thought leadership in industry and to fellow team members across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements.
  • Demonstrate forward thinking around where the organization is going and how technology can support these efforts.

Job Qualifications :

1. Qualifications, Experience, Education :

  • 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelors degree Computer Engineering / Computer Science/ IT Information Technology.

Skills :

Required Technical Experience and Skills :

  • Thorough Windows/Linux/Unix system administration knowledge.
  • Experience with network and system monitoring protocols, SNMP, syslog, ICMP, WMI, perfmon, etc.
  • Scripting and automation (Python, Perl, Shell, PowerShell, Java, etc.) proficiency.
  • Experience with SIEMs such as Splunk, Google SecOps.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, such as Datadog, SCOM.
  • Knowledge of information security principles, theories and concepts, plus advanced knowledge of current systems, networks, or specialized security technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, engineering, and implementing internet facing infrastructure and defining security strategies, such as:

Protection DNS/DHCP.

  • Load Balancing (Local and Global).
  • Understanding of TCP/IP.
  • Excellent communication skills and be comfortable working closely with senior business partners, including advance presentation skills.
  • Ability to build efficient internal relationships and communicate extensively with key internal stakeholders.
  • Experience to lead and manage projects involving senior technical individual contributors.
  • Ability to provide functional and strategic guidance to staff and recommend policy or strategic direction changes to management.

  • Ability to provide overall technical project planning for product enhancements.
