Job Responsibilities – Electrician (Utility & Maintenance)

  • Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of all electrical equipment as per the maintenance schedule.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance of Diesel Generator (DG) sets, including checking engine oil, coolant, battery, fuel level, filters, belts, alternator output, and control panel.

  • Monitor and maintain the plant power factor by operating and inspecting APFC panels and capacitor banks.

  • Inspect and maintain HT/LT panels, PCC panels, MCC panels, distribution boards, and electrical control panels.

  • Perform machine panel wiring, installation, modification, and troubleshooting of electrical circuits.

  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in motors, control panels, VFDs, contactors, overload relays, sensors, and other electrical components.

  • Carry out DOL starter, Star-Delta starter, and motor control wiring, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

  • Conduct daily utility inspections, including checks of generators, transformers, compressors, pumps, APFC panels, electrical parameters, and utility logs.

  • Monitor voltage, current, frequency, power factor, and load distribution to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

  • Inspect and maintain single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, ensuring proper phase balancing and safe operation.

  • Ensure proper earthing, insulation resistance testing, and electrical safety compliance across the plant.

  • Tighten electrical connections, clean control panels, and replace damaged wiring and components as required.

  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime and ensure maximum equipment availability.

  • Maintain records of preventive maintenance, breakdown reports, electrical inspections, and spare parts consumption.

  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company safety policies while carrying out maintenance activities.

  • Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of new electrical equipment and utility systems.

  • Maintain good housekeeping in electrical rooms, utility areas, and machine panels to ensure a safe working environment.

  • It is a Full Time Electrician job for candidates with 1 - 3 years of experience.
