Highlights of the Draft Rules Particulars Details Name of Post Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) Number of Posts 5 (2026) — subject to variation depending on workload Classification General Central Service, Group B; Non-Gazetted; Non-Ministerial Pay Level Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400) Age Limit Not exceeding 30 years (relaxable for Government Servants up to 5 years) Method of Recruitment Direct recruitment through Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Probation Two years Educational Qualification (as per Schedule-II) Option 1: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university/institute in any of the science disciplines listed in Schedule-II (Physical, Chemical, Biological, Earth-Atmospheric, Environmental, Mathematical, Computational & Information, and Agricultural Sciences).
