DevOps Engineer – Healthcare Automation

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure for healthcare automation platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Azure/AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability, API integrations, and event-driven architectures.

Healthcare experience with FHIR, HL7, SMART on FHIR, or payer APIs is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and manage cloud-native infrastructure on Azure/AWS.

- Build and maintain Kubernetes environments using AKS/EKS and Docker.

- Develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules using Terraform.

- Build and manage CI/CD and GitOps pipelines.

- Implement secure deployment strategies including blue-green/canary deployments and automated rollbacks.

- Manage API gateways, authentication, throttling, and rate limiting.

- Support REST, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and healthcare API integrations.

- Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting using OpenTelemetry and Prometheus/Grafana.

- Support event-driven architectures using Kafka or Azure Event Hub.

- Implement security practices including OAuth2/OIDC, secrets management, encryption, OPA, and audit logging.

- Support MLOps/LLMOps infrastructure and AI/ML inference services.

Required Skills

- 6+ years of DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience.

- Strong Azure and/or AWS experience.

- Kubernetes, Docker, and AKS/EKS.

- Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code.

- CI/CD: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

- Python and Bash scripting.

- REST APIs and API Gateway technologies.

- Microservices and event-driven architecture.

- Kafka and/or Azure Event Hub.

- Observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

- SMART on FHIR, FHIR, HL7, or X12.

- Healthcare or revenue-cycle systems experience.

- ArgoCD/Flux, Istio, and OPA.

- MLOps/LLMOps.

- HIPAA-compliant cloud environments.

- Experience with secure and regulated technology environments.
