Delhi Metro Maintenance Technician Jobs in Delhi

About This Role Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is seeking qualified Maintenance Technicians (Electrician/Fitter) to join its civil, electrical, and mechanical maintenance teams responsible for keeping the Delhi Metro infrastructure in safe, operational condition around the clock. This is a hands-on technical role for ITI-certified candidates and diploma holders who want stable, well-compensated technical employment with one of India's most respected engineering organisations. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on metro station electrical systems, track equipment, escalators, lifts, and HVAC units Carry out corrective maintenance and emergency repairs on civil and electromechanical assets as assigned by the shift engineer Inspect and test electrical panels, switchgear, UPS units, and signalling equipment according to maintenance schedules Identify wear, fault conditions, and safety hazards during inspections and report them promptly to the senior engineer Maintain accurate maintenance logs, defect reports, and equipment history records in the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) Adhere to DMRC's safety regulations, lockout-tagout procedures, and permit-to-work systems at all times Support major overhauls, station shutdowns, and infrastructure upgrade projects as directed by the maintenance manager Required Skills and Qualifications ITI certificate in Electrician, Fitter, Electronic Mechanic, or related trade from a government-recognised institute Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering is preferred for higher-grade positions Knowledge of electrical safety standards, maintenance tools, and test equipment Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals Physical fitness for working in station infrastructure environments including confined spaces, heights, and live rail areas Willingness to work in rotating shifts including night maintenance windows What We Offer Monthly salary of ₹22,000–₹35,000 based on trade, grade, and experience Shift allowances, night duty premiums, and overtime pay as per DMRC norms Comprehensive safety training, DMRC technical induction, and on-the-job mentoring PF, gratuity, medical benefits, and subsidised staff transport Career growth pathway to Senior Technician, Supervisor, and Assistant Engineer roles About Delhi Metro Rail Corporation DMRC's maintenance division operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to keep every station, train, and infrastructure asset in safe and reliable working condition.
