Job Overview

We are looking for passionate and skilled Commis I / Commis II chefs to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain quality standards, and support smooth kitchen operations while ensuring hygiene and food safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking as per standard recipes
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation standards are maintained
  • Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management
  • Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service
  • Handle kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Requirements

  • 1–4 years of experience as Commis I, Commis II, or similar role
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Culinary diploma or hotel management qualification is an added advantage
  • Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
