Business Development Team Lead

We are looking for a motivated, confident, and results-driven Business Development Team Lead to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a strong understanding of business development, client relationship management, lead generation, and sales processes. This role is suited to someone who can lead and motivate a team while also being comfortable working independently and taking ownership of their own business development activities . The successful candidate will play an important role in driving revenue growth, developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and helping the team consistently achieve its targets. We are looking for someone who is not only a strong team leader but also a hands-on professional who is willing to lead by example. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & ManagementLead, mentor, and motivate the Business Development team to achieve individual and collective targets. Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching. Support team members in developing their communication, negotiation, and sales skills. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and pipeline discussions. Create a positive, collaborative, and target-oriented team environment. Lead by example by actively participating in business development activities. Business Development & SalesIdentify and develop new business opportunities through research, networking, referrals, outbound activities, and other channels. Generate, qualify, and manage leads throughout the sales cycle. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients. Understand client requirements and effectively communicate the company's products/services and value proposition. Conduct business meetings, presentations, and sales discussions with potential clients. Develop and deliver effective proposals, quotations, and commercial presentations. Negotiate with clients and work toward successful deal closure. Consistently meet or exceed individual and team revenue and business development targets. Strategy & GrowthContribute to the development and implementation of business development strategies. Research market trends, competitors, and potential opportunities to identify areas for growth. Develop strategies to expand the company's client base and enter new markets or segments. Track sales activities, conversion rates, pipelines, and overall team performance. Provide regular reports and insights to management regarding business development performance and opportunities. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth client onboarding and delivery. Required Skills Proven experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition. Previous experience in a team leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Confident presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on achieving targets. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and performance-driven environment. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and other business development tools is an advantage.
