The ideal candidate will possess strong industry knowledge, excellent relationship management skills, and experience in identifying and securing business opportunities within government and defence organizations. Key Responsibilities - Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities in the Air Force and Defence sector. - Build and maintain strong relationships with Defence organizations, Air Force establishments, government agencies, OEMs, and strategic partners. - Track upcoming tenders, RFPs, procurement opportunities, and defence projects. - Coordinate with internal teams for proposal preparation, bid management, and project execution. - Manage the complete business development cycle from lead generation to contract closure. - Prepare business presentations, proposals, capability statements, and commercial offers. - Develop and implement strategies to increase market presence and revenue growth. - Participate in industry events, defence exhibitions, conferences, and networking forums. - Maintain market intelligence regarding competitors, industry trends, and government procurement policies. - Ensure compliance with Defence procurement procedures and company policies. Required Skills & Competencies - Robust understanding of the Indian Air Force and Defence ecosystem. - Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and networking skills. - Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. - Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. - Experience in handling government tenders and procurement processes. - Knowledge of Defence acquisition procedures and industry regulations. - Ability to work independently and achieve business targets. Eligibility CriteriaEducation - B.Tech (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline) - OR - AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) Experience - 3–4 years of relevant experience in Air Force, Defence, Aerospace, Aviation, or Government Business Development. Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with Defence organizations, Air Force establishments, DPSUs, or Defence contractors. - Knowledge and hands-on experience with the GeM (Government e-Marketplace) Portal. - Experience in tender management, bid submission, and government procurement. - Existing network within Defence and Aviation sectors will be an added advantage.
