Book Typesetting Specialist

We are looking for a highly experienced Adobe InDesign Specialist with strong expertise in professional typesetting, document formatting, and publishing workflows. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on highly complex books, educational materials, and publishing projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy and visual consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and format complex documents using Adobe InDesign.
  • Handle professional typesetting and page layout for books, educational, academic, and publishing content.
  • Work with styles, master pages, paragraph/character styles, tables, images, and page templates.
  • Maintain consistent typography, spacing, alignment, pagination, and overall layout.
  • Handle complex layouts, including tables, equations, figures, footnotes, references, and multi-level headings.
  • Review source files and apply formatting according to project specifications and style guidelines.
  • Perform detailed quality checks before final delivery.
  • Coordinate with the production/QC team to resolve formatting and layout issues.
  • Meet project timelines while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Adobe InDesign/typesetting.
  • Strong and hands-on expertise in Adobe InDesign.
  • Experience working on complex publishing and typesetting projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of paragraph styles, character styles, master pages, object styles, tables, and document templates.
  • Strong understanding of typography, page composition, and print/digital publishing standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently handle projects from source files to final output.
  • Experience in book publishing, e-learning, educational, academic, or STM content will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
