The Work

You will record short, natural conversations in Bahasa Indonesia using a phone or laptop. You will upload each clip, review the automatic speech-to-text transcript, and correct any errors.

The project also asks you to provide general information about yourself and your recordings.

  • Record natural voice clips that are about 5–60 seconds long.
  • Upload audio through the project platform.
  • Check and correct transcripts created by automatic speech recognition software.
  • Provide details such as age, gender, location, ethnicity, dialect, speaker information, audio quality, and recording source details.

What It Pays and Takes

This is a part-time contractor project with entry-level requirements. No previous experience is needed, but you must speak Bahasa Indonesia naturally and review written transcripts accurately in that language.

  • Pay: $3.50 to $4 per hour.
  • Total project amount: About 100 hours per person, with up to $400 available.
  • Time: Less than 20 hours per week.
  • Location: Applicants may be based in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, or Singapore.
  • Language: Native or highly proficient Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Equipment: A phone or laptop for recording and uploading audio.
  • Availability: You must be able to start immediately because the project has a tight deadline.
