Research/Job Area- Botany or Zoology or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or Forensic Science or Physical Anthropology or Genetics Location- Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Eligibility/Qualification– Age Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UTs Govt. Servants upto 5 years’ as per instructions/orders issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some others categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the, ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitments by Selection. Essential Qualification (s) A. Educational-

(I) Master’s Degree in Botany or Zoology or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or Forensic Science or Physical Anthropology or Genetics form a recognized University or Institute and

(II) Bachelor’s Degree with Botany or Zoology as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute.

NOTE – Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

B. Experience- Five years experience of Analytical/Research work in Forensic Science. Desirable Qualification (s) Doctorate Degree in concerned subject from a recognized University or Institute.

Job/Position Description- Pay Scale Pay Level-11 (67700-208700) of pay matrix under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.67,700/- plus DA as applicable per month

Department/Office Andaman and Nicobar Administration Organisation Andaman and Nicobar Police Duty(ies) The major nature of duties include visiting scene of crime, examination of crime exhibits, to attend the court of law as an expert, to take active part in research and development, to impart training to various investigating agencies and other administrative work required for up-gradation of FSL and works assigned by the higher authorities.

Probation 01 (One) year. Headquarters Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Other Details GCS, Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
