Amazon Focus Manager

About Gusti Leather

Immerse yourself in the world of Gusti Leder, where every bag tells a story and every product is a statement for transparent production and style. At Gusti Leder GmbH, a company known for its commitment to transparency, quality, and the promotion of slow fashion, we offer you more than just a job. We offer you a chance to be part of a movement that aims to change the leather industry for the better. Our products represent conscious consumption, sustainable elegance, and timeless vintage charm.

About the Role

At Gusti Leder, we design, manufacture, and sell genuine leather goods across Europe. As our Amazon Focus Manager, you will take end-to-end performance and profit ownership of a handpicked portfolio of 10 to 20 focus SKUs across key European marketplaces (Germany, France, Italy, and Spain).

This is not a generalist marketplace role spread thinly across hundreds of products. You will act as the dedicated analytical driver for specific hero products and high-potential new launches. Treating each assigned product as an independent profit center, you will combine data-backed Amazon SEO, aggressive and precise PPC campaign management, competitor intelligence, and inventory tracking to maximize one core metric: bottom-line profit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dedicated SKU Ownership: Take full operational ownership of 10–20 priority products (both established bestsellers requiring optimization and new items with high potential) across Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, and Amazon.es (Seller Central).

  • Data-Driven SEO & Listing Optimization: Conduct rigorous keyword research, search volume analysis, and backend optimization to drive organic rank. Brief our internal photography and graphic design teams on visual assets and A+ Content tailored to overcome customer doubts.

  • PPC Campaign Management & Execution: Build, monitor, and optimize Sponsored Products and Sponsored Display campaigns. Start with high bids during initial phases to establish rank velocity, then methodically adjust and lower bids as data accumulates to secure profitability.

  • Budget & Profit Allocation: Manage dynamic ad budgets starting at ~€10,000/month (scaling upwards as product performance proves profitable). Focus relentlessly on minimizing ACoS, accelerating revenue velocity, and driving net profit.

  • Inventory Run-Rate Monitoring: Track daily sales velocity and calculate replenishment run-rates to ensure zero out-of-stock events on your assigned focus items.

  • Competitor & Price Benchmarking: Systematically monitor competing leather brands, price elasticity, and review trends to spot listing gaps, margin opportunities, and defensive bidding needs.

  • New Product Identification: Use marketplace data, search volume growth, and review gap analyses to identify high-potential product opportunities and present structured briefs to the product team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must have skills -

• Analytical Mindset & Affinity for Numbers: You rely strictly on facts, data, and structured logic rather than intuition or subjective taste.

• Spreadsheet Fluency: Strong, hands-on experience using Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookup functions, bulk data manipulation)

• Independent & Accountable: High level of self-direction, punctuality, and proactive problem-solving.

• Background: Completed university degree or equivalent professional business/analytical background

Ideal experience-

• Practical, hands-on experience with Amazon Advertising (PPC) and Amazon Seller Central.

• Familiarity with market research tools (e.g., Helium 10, Amazon Brand Analytics, ChatGPT).

• Experience optimizing listings for European marketplaces (DE, FR, IT, ES)

What We Offer at Gusti Leder

  • Dedicated Creative Backing: In-house photographers and graphic designers execute your creative briefs, leaving you free to focus entirely on data and strategy.

  • High Financial Autonomy: Scalable ad budgets (~€10,000+/month).

  • Tooling Flexibility: Openness to test, benchmark, and onboard new analytics tools if a trial demonstrates a clear ROI.

  • Structured, Direct Communication: Clear expectations and direct reporting to our Teamlead Amazon (Lena-Marie Ripsch) with minimal bureaucracy.
